Downtown Stage Audience

The 2004 Heart of Virginia festival was a great success with many visitors who were treated to a wide variety of arts, crafts, exhibits, entertainment and food. For a good part of the daytime festivities the weather cooperated but mid-afternoon the heavens opened and poured down on the festival. Thankfully it didn't turn too many people off staying and once the downpour ended festival-goers were back out on the streets continuing to enjoy all the festival had too offer.

As usual the day was kicked off at the Downtown Stage. Audience members at the Downtown Stage were treated to a great selection of music from seasoned professionals as well the hopeful amateurs who took part in the Showcase of Stars. Cruise In

Thanks to the Heart of Virginia Classic Auto Club the cars were back in the form of the Heart of Virginia Cruise In. There was an impressive display of vehicles some having traveled many miles to participate.

The Art Show and the Craft show continue to attract a wide variety of items to browse and are as popular as ever with visitors to the festival.

Zero Hour and the Fireworks

The rain continued on and off all day but that didn't deter everyone from heading out to the airport and there was a pretty impressive turnout considering. It was worth getting out the umbrellas and waterproofs because the fireworks were amazing!
