The Children's Festival

Lawn of Jarman Auditorium, 10 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Cody & BJ combine their love for children, the environment and animals into lively, audience-interactive performances. All music and activities are original creations. They have many animals, including their two beautiful macaw parrots.

The Children's Festival welcomes a wide variety of entertainment and lots of exciting education activities to educational activities. The musical duo Cody & BJ are returning to bring their high-energy audience participating musical show featuring their friends Roxie and Cheyenne. The Prince Edward Middle School 7th and 8th Grade Band will be us music throughout the ages. Making their debut this year are the Front Porch Singers, come sing and dance along to Early American Folk. This local family has recreated an early 1800 Barn dance atmosphere typical to Prince Edward County.

Come and join us in the Art Tent where we will be creating friendship bracelets. All supplies will be provided. Make sure to bring your imagination and take home a one-of-a-kind souvenir of the 26th annual Heart of Virginia Festival. This activity is free and is recommended for children over the age of three.
