2002 Heart of Virginia 10K Run

[Photo of a group of runners during the race] This was the 16th year for the 10-K Run. It starts at 8:30 a.m. from Hampden-Sydney College and the course follows the "back Hampden-Sydney road" (Route 643) onto High Street finishing at the Longwood First Avenue field where the medals and trophies are presented.

This year's race was presented by Southside Community Hospital and Southside Virginia Family YMCA and sponsored by White Oak Cattle Farm, Piedmont Bike Shop, The Carpet House/The Paint Center, Wachovia Bank, and Southside Community Hospital.
