Opening ceremonies will begin at 10 a.m. with Rev. Ed Tracy of Johns Memorial Episcopal Church delivering the invocation and the Prince Edward County Middle School Chorus providing music.

[A Picture of Barbara Bailey Hutchison] At 10:30 hear Grammy Award winning singer songwriter Barbara Bailey Hutchison. Her voice if familiar to millions of television and radio listeners across the country. The hundreds of commercials she has sung for McDonald's, Hallmark Cards, and other national advertisers attest to her vocal prowess.

In addition to receiving the music industry's highest recognition, a Grammy Award, Hutchison has been voted 'Best Solo Performer' and 'Best Acoustic Performer' by a national magazine poll of colleges and universities throughout the United States and Canada.


At 11:40 the downtown stage will feature the Tom Robbins Blues Band. Guitarist/vocalist Tom Robbins fronts this high-energy, boogie-woogie rhythm and blues band from Charlottesville. Hailing from Mississippi, Tom Robbins brings 20 years of musical experience to this group, which features music from delta blues to the Chicago sound of the 60s. The group’s sound is upbeat and danceable, including musical selections from T. Bone Walker, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, and B.B. King.


[A Picture of The Rotations] The Rotations will end the downtown stage activities, performing from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. They specialize in the best in beach, soul, and rock 'n roll music from the past. The group includes Bearnard (Brute) Vaughan on lead vocals, Pete Minon on drums and vocals, Billgy Long on keyboard and vocals, Ted Varnier on sax, Al Kyriakides on trumpet, J.B. Brown on guitar and vocals, Pat Murray on lead guitar and vocals, and Chris Colohan as sound technician.
